Shameka Hyatt

Born and raised in Dallas, Texas to Geoffrey Hyatt, from Montego Bay, JA, and Henrietta Hyatt, from Summerton, South Carolina, Shameka Lusha Hyatt has always been a person on a mission; chasing after her dreams.  Her Journalism career started officially at Lincoln Humanities/ Communications Magnet High School in the field of Print Journalism; where she was appraised for her writing skills and contributions as a staff-writer and copy editor for the Lincoln Lantern.  Attending Texas Wesleyan in Fall 2007, her contributions as a writer continued for the university student newspaper, The Rambler, her Freshman and Sophomore years.  Attending Wesleyan for four years now, she is graduating in May 2011 with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Radio/ TV with a Psychology minor emphasis.  Upon graduation, she aspires to be a news anchor for CBS-11 news or a free-lance writer.  Along with Journalism, her passions also include photography (both digital and darkroom), modeling, and video editing.
